Wedding Services in Bradford (West Yorkshire)

My wedding was in July 2011. The stage was fantastic. However everything went downhill from there. The cake tasted very average - I could have bought something better from Sainsbury's (or from other supermarkets as well). The cameraman on the day was very average. He didn't make it known what he wanted from us, and in fact made a very average film. It is now December 2011. I have yet to receive my wedding film. The cameraman has been extremely rude towards us - apparently it is my fault that the film was badly edited (apparently it's only bad because I DIDN'T LIKE IT). In fact the reason it was bad was because the footage was all he had put on the DVD. The music was all ancient. And the editing was appalling. I've never seen such a poorly edited piece of work. I don't believe he once went through the movie in an attempt to take out the more embarrassing bits. For example a small bit where I have my eyes shocked open I think from a camera flashing too close to me - you'd have thought anyone with perhaps a couple of braincells would take out those embarassing 2 seconds from the movie. I never wanted a typical asian wedding film with lots of pictures flying in and out. Not did I want a bland documentary. He didn't understand this at all. But that's not my issue. If he couldn't do the work all he had to do was say so - I'd have gone elsewhere for the editing stage. Unfortunately he is the master of putting people off. We have called him dozens of times and he keeps saying the film is still not ready. When I spoke to employees at Star Wedding about my film initially I found their demeanor extremely rude. For example when I called for my film I was told it would be ready on a weekend. So I rang on Saturday evening just to chase it up so I wouldn't waste time on the Sunday by going if it wasn't there. The extremely rude lady informed me that "a weekend has 2 days you know" and abruptly told me it would be ready the next day. Using my common sense I called the following day before leaving home - surprise, surprise - it was still not ready. Another THREE WEEKS LATER I got the rubbish version of the film which had clearly been rushed overnight (bearing in mind the wedding was in July and all of this took place in October). I placed my complaint going through the correct channels. The OWNER of Star Wedding promised us a call within 3 days to go to a "studio" to get it edited the way I wanted it. That was at the end of October. We are now in December and I don't believe that man's THREE DAYS have ended as yet. Overall the service on the day is slow - stages were being put up on the day and were only just ready for us. The mehndi stage was put up moments before our arrival and actually delayed our arrival so we couldn't spend as long there as we wanted - ergo the money we paid was clearly not going a very long way. The aftercare service is practicaly non-existant. There is no such thing as customer service once you have paid for services before they have been completely rendered. As we have now found out. We paid very quickly - before receiving the movie. Obviously that is why they are no longer interested in providing good service. They have no understanding of the notion that if a customer is happy they might just bring more business their way. Obviously not their modus operandi. They have no business being in a business that is supposed to be devoted to creating one perfect day (or another couple of days for us Asians) for it's clients, including aftercare. That is my opinion as someone in business myself and as a customer.
