• Saved me a fortune

  Cleckheaton Gearbox undertook analysis & repair on my faulty Gearbox. Other specialists I had approached attempted to mislead me/rip me of by quoting for a complete gearbox rebuild costing 2000 quid of my hard earned cash, BUT Cleckheaton took the time to investigate & found the gearbox only required a part replacing. Total cost 220 quid. Bad reviews below cannot be real. This company could have ripped me off but did not.

• Great service, price and quality work

  First contacted Cleckheaton in January 2011, to get my Audi A4 Multi Tronic gearbox refurbished. The guys give me the option of dropping my car off or they could collect the gearbox free of charge. I dropped the car off and was handed the key for a courtesy car. Car gearbox was refurbuished with a 24,000 miles or 24 month guarantee. I would recommend these guys any time.

  I read the other reviews and thought I would give this company the benefit of the doubt, I was very impressed they couldnt have been more helpful, collected car at agreed time and delivered when finished, 2/3 the price of ford dealership, and work done fine car feels like new and clutch back to normal. I would reccomend them thanks guys ! ! ! ! !

• Cleckheaton ripped me off & wrote off my car

  UPDATE:recently got my XC90 bak aftr nearly 2 years thnks to Cleckheaton. They quoted me to repair/recondition my gearbox. They kept it for months despite my telephone calls. Finally they they tried to charge me £5400 to replace it as they couldnt fix it. When I said no they said I had to pay them £800 to get it back! After I had paid I found they had kept my Torq Conv & returnd the broken bits of a few other boxes they had. It was now unrepairable. Just sourced another box! THEY RIP YOU OFF!

• CLECKHEATON DON'T HONOR AGREEMENTS

  We ordered a gearbox and paid for next day delivery. They didn't send it for 2 more days; it arrived; was the WRONG gearbox; we had to pay to send it back to them and the STILL HAVEN'T given us OUR money back. Next steps are being taken! Your reputation is about to take a dive Cleckheaton

  Had an excellent job done by this garage and the turnaround was very quick. After breaking down I was desperate to get my car back on the road. Paul and his staff did a very quick job at a good price. Would definately use again.

• CLECKHEATON ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS

  The gearbox on my car lost reverse gear. To replace it new was expensive so after a websearch I found Cleckheaton. They offered to come and collect it on the cheap and quoted a fixed price repair. After paying a deposit they took a long time to do anything. They then told me I needed additional parts which raised the repair price by around 50%. They then told me they couldnt fix my gearbox and told me a new one would cost over £5000. When I said I'd have the car back they charged me £800 for the privelage of not repairing it. When I got it back they had obviously sent back a range of faulty parts from a few scap gearboxes and it was unreapirable. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS AND SHOULD NOT BE TRADED WITH UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I have reported them to trading standards who were already very familair with them. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM there are far more proffessional and honest traders out there who can fix gearboxes than this bunch of Pikeys.
