This little museum is well worth a visit if you are interested in the history of the area. The smallish area is well-laid out but still packed with a wide range of displays. Temporary or travelling exhibitions are often featured either in the museum itself, or in the art gallery and display areas downstairs. Events are also regularly mounted which are aimed at both adults and children. This is an almost perfect example of an excellent local museum.
